Spain

Passionate, sophisticated and devoted to living the good life, Spain is both a stereotype come to life and a country more diverse than you ever imagined. For all the talk of Spain's history, this is a country that lives very much in the present and there's a reason 'fiesta' is one of the best-known words in the Spanish language – life itself is a fiesta here and everyone seems to be invited. Whenever it happens, you'll find yourself nodding in recognition: this is Spain.
Ibiza
Entire songs have been written about the pulsing party scene in Ibiza, with its hedonistic feel, string bikinis, and glamorous celebrity spottings. Though it’s all true, there is something for everyone on this Spanish Island. Explore the quiet side of Ibiza—the small towns, hidden beaches, and low-key hotels and restaurants of the island's north and west.
Preferred Accommodations
Nobu Hotel Ibiza Bay
If “Nobu” makes you think dark interiors and minimalist décor, think again—this hotel embraces the Mediterranean aesthetic with vigor, bringing sunshine in through the entry atrium and using natural materials in light colors to make it very clear that you’re in Ibiza. The resort overlooks the Med and has prime beach access.
Ibiza Gran Hotel Grand Luxe
Bringing some city-slicking bling to the most famous Balearic Island, Ibiza Gran Hotel has an instant wow factor from the moment you arrive in the cavernous lobby. The enormous complex is perched on the edge of Ibiza’s glamorous marina, in sight of a plethora of spectacular mega yachts.
Private Villa Collection
Each and every property in our preferred partners’ portfolio is also the much-loved private home of passionate Ibiza dwellers, and their attention to detail is evident in every aspect. Individual styling, quirky details, eclectic decoration, personally commissioned art collections and special cosy, homely touches – this reflects the style and personality of each owner and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Mallorca
Known as the largest island in the Balearic archipelago off the coast of Spain, Mallorca is a hotspot for tourists seeking an unforgettable Mediterranean vacation. Mallorca is divided into three sections with the west coast dominated by the Serra de Tramuntana mountain chain, the east coast marked by the Serra de Llevant mountains, and the island’s center described as “es plas,” or the plain. But most tourists who travel to Mallorca spend their time far and away from the island’s center, enjoying its more than 340 miles of coastline and the many sun-kissed beaches that line it.
Preferred Accommodations
Hotel Cap Rocat
If you’re looking to go off the radar, there’s Cap Rocat, set in a 19th-century former military fortress along the southern edge of the Bay of Palma. Local architect Antonio Obrador imbued the hotel with cues that hark back to its past (guest rooms built in former munitions stores; stylized bullets for door handles).
Finca Son Gener
You couldn’t ask for a more tranquil setting than an 18th-century farmhouse, one whose natural stone walls are set against rustic wood accents and minimal white furnishings. As you’d expect from an architect-owned hotel, the interiors are immaculate, the ten rooms spare and simple, all opening onto private terraces with sweeping views of the Mallorcan countryside.
Belmond La Residencia
This small exquisite property provides unique rooms in its two manor houses and beautiful cantilevered landscaping. Nods to Deià's artistic heritage are evident in the hotel's art gallery and sculpture garden. You simply cannot beat the setting here – the beautiful mountain and sea views (the best among them from the pools and tennis courts), the nearby small rocky beaches…
